This week’s library news will be really quick as we are in the middle of setting up for our kickoff to summer reading program today (Tuesday, June 27) @1 PM- Henna with Mandy.
Summer reading starts in two weeks!
The theme for this summer is “Find Your Voice” and once again, we will be using Beanstack to track how much you read. Not familiar with Beanstack? Let’s review.
June is Adopt a Cat month
June is Adopt a Cat month- we have picked out some great cat themed books and have them displayed in the children’s room for you to take home!

June is almost here and summer programming is gearing up- please join us!
Parenting collection- new additions
Did you know we have a parenting section in the children’s room? Here you will find nonfiction books on topics such as child behavior, stages of child development, parenting advice, cookbooks and more. We also have a large picture book section that work well in explaining topics such as divorce, death, disabilities to children at their level.
Art Among the Stacks
Donate your original artwork to be displayed among our adult fiction stacks!
The details:
- Artwork should be 8.5 x 11 in size.
- Artwork is DONATED... meaning that you will not be getting it back.
- Any medium of artwork is welcome.
- Artists of any age are welcome to donate their work but it is ultimately up to the Library whether it gets displayed.
Lightbox- your source for nonfiction titles!
Lightbox is perfect when you need a nonfiction source and can’t make it to the library. You don’t need a library card to log in and it is available to access from home. Even better, multiple people can access the same title- meaning it is perfect for classrooms!
New DVDs added to the collection
We purchased some new DVDs for the children’s room and would love for you to check them out! We have a large collection of DVDs and Blu-rays available for checkout and also accept donations of books, CDs, and DVDs in good condition during open hours.
