June is almost here and summer programming is gearing up- please join us!

Did you know we have a parenting section in the children’s room?  Here you will find nonfiction books on topics such as child behavior, stages of child development, parenting advice, cookbooks and more.  We also have a large picture book section that work well in explaining topics such as divorce, death, disabilities to children at their level.

Lightbox is perfect when you need a nonfiction source and can’t make it to the library.   You don’t need a library card to log in and it is available to access from home.  Even better, multiple people can access the same title- meaning it is perfect for classrooms!

We purchased some new DVDs for the children’s room and would love for you to check them out!  We have a large collection of DVDs and Blu-rays available for checkout and also accept donations of books, CDs, and DVDs in good condition during open hours.

The second book in an exciting new nonfiction series, You Are a Star, Jane Goodall focuses on Jane's lifelong mission to understand the chimpanzees and protect the planet.

We have a couple of special programs next week that you don’t want to miss.  Please note some require online registration due to popularity and limited space.  This can be done through our website www.bridgewaterpubliclibrary.org/kids

We are adding some new picture book biographies to the collection.  These books are biographies, normally ranging under 40 pages, for children ages K-3.  While probably not long enough for a school book report requirement, they are beautifully illustrated and worth a look!
