Ideas for Thanksgiving - ways to stay entertained

Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks for all that you have and love- and that includes books!  We have created a display of children's Thanksgiving themed books for you to enjoy.  This selection includes picture books, some nonfiction books and a couple of cookbooks for those budding chefs.  This display has been very popular in the last week, so we recommend you come in soon or go online and place a hold on some books at sailsinc.org

Let's start with games- there are so many games people play from the classics like chess and checkers to the more technology driven games like Playstation and Wii.  We have a chess club that meets at the library on Wednesday nights and is the perfect place to practice your game or learn more about playing.  If you are interested in digital gaming, we have a Sega Genesis, Nintendo Classic and Super Nintendo Classic that can be borrowed through our Library of Things.

Puzzles have been around since the 1760s and have been enjoyed by people of all ages.  We have a large assortment of puzzles available for sale in our Used Book Store.

What else can you find in our Used Book Store?  A little bit of everything!  We have adult and children's hardcovers, paperbacks, CDs, DVDs, audiobooks, puzzles and magazines.  From bestsellers to lesser known, we have a lot to choose from.  Our selection is constantly changing, as we accept donations year round.

Want to donate books to the Used Book Store?  First, we ask that the items do not contain any mold or mildew.  We do not take encyclopedia sets or items in poor condition.  We ask that you bring your donations into the library in either bags or boxes and leave them on the first floor near the elevator.  Please do not leave the items outside or put them in our book drop.  Thank you for thinking of us and contributing to our Used Book Store.
