As the month ends and summer turns to fall, we look to welcome back some familiar faces to the Bridgewater Public Library on Fridays as we learn with Triumph, Inc.

The Learning Tree

We are pleased to announce that Miss Nicole will be returning this fall with The Learning Tree.  The Learning Tree is held weekly in 6-8 week sessions on Fridays at the Bridgewater Public Library and is sponsored by Triumph Inc.  This program is designed to support your 3-5 year old social and emotional growth and school readiness with fun, educational activities.  Nicole provides a variety of activities including stories, art, music, movement, STEM and more!  Her classes meet in the large meeting room and registration is required for this program. Grandparents raising Grandchildren

Triumph, Inc has also provided support for Grandparents raising Grandchildren with a once a month program. This program helps with important information unique to your experience, helpful resources, and discussions with others who are experiencing this as well.

Baby Yoga

Keri, a certified yoga instructor, leads holistic and calming yoga.  Keri guides each mother and child through gentle stretches and breathing exercises that help promote relaxation and bonding with baby.  This class is best suited to babies who are not mobile yet, although crawlers are welcome.  

Time for Toddlers!  Learn and grow with Miss Nicole!

Miss Nicole creates a fun learning and literacy group with your little one in mind.  She will share stories, music, movement, art and a variety of engaging activities geared towards your 16 month to 30 month child.

The programs are funded by a grant from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Department of Early Education and Care. CFCE offers FREE literacy groups, caregiver workshops and the Grandparents Raising Grandchildren group.

Here are some more programs we are offering in September at the Bridgewater Public Library.

 

Tuesday, September 6 thru Monday, September 19:  “The School Bell” A Herblock display. A temporary exhibit of former Washington Post political cartoonist Herb Block entitled “The School Bell” will be on display at the Bridgewater Public Library.  This exhibit is a great supportive learning tool as Herblock “believed that a strong education is what gives people the opportunity to reach their highest potential, to become respectable leaders and to live as productive members of society.” Along with the multi-panel display, a rolling seven-minute DVD “Herblock: The Man Behind the Cartoons” will be featured. 

Tuesday, September 13 @ 10 AM: Story Time with Apryl. Join us for stories, movement and music with Apryl.  Recommended for ages 1.5-5 years old.  No registration.   Theme: Pirates.

Thursday, September 15: Grab and Go craft.  Fall Wreath.  Create a fun fall wreath of colorful leaves.  While supplies last, one per person please.

Tuesday, September 20 @ 10 AM: Special Peace Week Story Time with Apryl.  Join us for stories, movement and music with Apryl.  Recommended for ages 1.5-5 years old.  No registration.  

Wednesday, September 21 @ 7 PM: 7 Ways to Support Your Student's Studying without Losing Your Sanity: Virtual Program.  Learn a few tips, tools, and strategies to motivate, inspire, and support your student.  Register on our website at www.bridgewaterpubliclibrary.org to receive your ZOOM link. This program is sponsored by Successful Study Skills 4 Students.
