Wow- do we have a lot of programs going on this month to keep your little ones busy! While we are taking a brief break from the weekly story times, we have a large assortment of programs for December. Some of these programs will be requiring registration, so please pay attention to the dates when registration opens.
Letters to Santa return this year with a virtual component. Starting on November 24, visit our website and fill out the form that our library elf, Jingle, will make sure Santa sees! This link will be available from Wednesday, November 24 through Wednesday, December 8! Parents, please make sure the form is filled out to include your child's full name and address if you would like a response.
Kerry Campbell of Exploring Music kicks off the month with a Holiday Preschool Music Party on Tuesday, December 7 @ 10:30 AM. Join us at the library for a Holiday Preschool Music Party with Kerry Campbell and Exploring Music! We'll sing, use instruments, move and use our imaginations as we celebrate the season together. We'll build a pretend snowman, "skate" with the Nutcracker, take an adventurous sleigh ride, and much more! This is a great way to enjoy a fun and educational time with your little ones during the craziness of the season and we hope to see you there! Melissa Kowal will be at the library on Wednesday, December 8 @ 2 PM for a special winter art class. In this class, you will create an Aurora Borealis Silhouette. Young artists will learn how to blend analogous colors in oil pastels onto a canvas to create icy northern lights. Then artists will learn how to draw arctic animals in the shadows of their beautiful night sky. All artistic levels welcome and all materials provided. Big Ryan returns for his Toddler Shows on Tuesday, December 14 @ 10 AM. Big Ryan's toddler programs focus more on Puppet Play and Music and Movement. Due to the unpredictability and short attention spans of very young children these programs usually run about 25 to 30 minutes. You can register online for this program beginning on Tuesday, November 30. Come in and have some fun with Big Ryan!
Mrs. Davis will be holding a Holiday Story Time on Wednesday, December 15. Join Mrs. Davis for stories, songs, and rhymes about Christmas. For children ages 2 and up. To register, call us at 508-697-3331 beginning on Wednesday, December 1.
