April showers bring May programs! We have some exciting programs this month!

Special Events:
Wednesday, May 3 @ 10:30 AM: Big Ryan’s Toddler Show. Big Ryan's toddler programs focus on puppet play, music, and movement. Due to the unpredictability and short attention spans of very young children these programs usually run about 25 to 30 minutes. Come in and have some fun with Big Ryan! No registration.
Thursday, May 4 thru Thursday, May 18. Kids, search the children’s room for the flower. Find it and enter to win a bag of books.
Saturday, May 6: Free Comic Book Day. Stop by the library for FREE comics while supplies last. Kids, enter to win a bag of graphic novels.
Wednesday, May 17 @ 6-7 PM: Dress a Girl Around the World. Are you and your family/friends looking for some meaningful volunteer work? Dress A Girl Around the World is an organization that provides new hand-made dresses to little girls in need around the world. At this "non-sewing" workshop we will be measuring and bagging dresses for delivery. A brief overview of the organization will be presented at the beginning of the workshop. No registration.

Art and Craft programs:
Mondays in May @ 4-5 PM: Sketching with Shane. Join Shane as he sketches using an iPad and mediums. Teens and tweens (ages 12-18) are welcome to draw along with him in this informal session. No registration.
Tuesdays in May @ 4-5 PM: Creating with Jack. Come join local artist, teacher and MassArt graduate Jack Phaneuf for a one hour weekly drawing session. Complimenting the more informal "Sketching with Shane" sessions held on Mondays, Jack will explore new topics weekly and guide students with their artwork. Students are required to bring a sketchbook, a #2 pencil and a black ballpoint pen. For tweens and teens ages 12-18. THIS PROGRAM IS FILLED. PLEASE WATCH FOR OUR WEBSITE FOR FUTURE PROGRAMS.
Thursday, May 25: Grab and Go Craft – Red, white and blue wreath. Available while supplies last. One per child please.

Story Times:
Tuesday, May 2 @ 10 AM: Story Time with Apryl. Join us for stories, movement and music with Apryl. Recommended for ages 1.5-4 years old. No registration. Bring your favorite stuffed animal. Theme: Favorite animals.
Tuesday, May 16 @ 10 AM: Story Time with Apryl. Join us for stories, movement and music with Apryl. Recommended for ages 1.5-4 years old. No registration. Special guest reader. Theme: Friendship.

Triumph, INC.:
Fridays in May @ 10:30 AM: 123 Read & Draw with Me! Join Triumph for 123 Read and Draw with Me! Ms. Laurie, a local artist and teacher will present easy, fun & creative ways to: Create art with a variety of drawing & crafting techniques, read and enjoy a wonderful book together, and develop brain building, social emotion and fine motor skills. Virtual Gaming:
Monday, May 22 @ 6 PM: Virtual Fortnite Tournament. Compete with other players across Massachusetts in this virtual race. Players must have a copy of the game, gaming platform and an online connection. Registration is required, you will receive a link via email to join the fun! Anime Club for Teens:
Wednesdays in May @ 4 PM: Anime Club. Teens are welcome to join us for a meeting of the Anime Club. Watch anime on Crunchyroll, hang with friends and suggest books for the library to purchase. No registration.
