Jingle has returned!

Back from the North Pole, Jingle the Library Elf has returned to the Bridgewater Public Library.  Have you met Jingle?  Jingle has been known to appear in different locations, normally in the children's room and loves books and mischief.

Jingle is happy to see so many people visit the library and the children behaving themselves- no running or climbing the shelves here!

Have you seen what Jingle has been up to?  Be sure to check out Facebook for his latest appearances, but in case you missed it, here are a couple of highlights from the last couple days.

jingle answers the phone

Jingle thought he could help out at the library by answering the phone for us.  Unfortunately, he thought he should be paid in candy, candy canes, candy corn and syrup. Once he found out we didn’t have any....well, we turned around and he was gone!

Jingle found our container of oats for an upcoming craft.  He was very surprised that people eat this (what do you expect from someone who normally eats syrup and spaghetti!) and we found him playing in it!

jingle with books

Jingle was very proud of all the new books he cataloged for us.  Be sure to check out the selection of books we have on display- we have holiday movies, Christmas books and a large collection of new materials ready to be read by you!

Jingle has asked us to type this message to all of his friends at the Bridgewater Public Library.

Hello to my friends at Bridgewater Public Library,

It is so nice to be back in Bridgewater.  I had a long trip from the North Pole, where the weather has been very cold and snowing.  My other elf friends and I spent last week sledding and building snowmen in front of Mr. and Mrs. Claus's house.

I am happy to see so many of my old friends visiting the library and checking out so many books.  I see a lot of holiday books that I plan on checking out myself- I saw one called "There's an elf in your book" by Tom Fletcher that seemed very interesting.

I can't wait to see what is new at the Bridgewater Public Library, check out some new books, and see what else I can get into!  Be sure to look for me when you visit the library- I will be here until I have to return to the North Pole on Christmas Eve.

Your library elf on a shelf,
Jingle
