Over the last year, families have spent a lot of time together and being mindful of each other. Mindful simply means giving something your full attention and being present in the moment. You might be practicing mindfulness and not even knowing you are doing it. Examples of ways to practice mindfulness include: taking a walk, listening to nature, doing yoga, and the topic of today: journaling.
Journaling is an inexpensive way to get in touch with your emotions, as you write your feelings, thoughts and wishes. You can use journaling as a way to express yourself though words or drawing. Interested?
Starting Thursday, August 26, 2021, we will have mindfulness journal kits available for tweens and teens. These kits contain a blank journal (no lines) where you can draw or write whatever you like. We have also added a couple of stickers to decorate the kit (or feel free to color or design your own cover), a pencil and a sheet of mindfulness prompts. Of course, you don’t have to answer any of the questions- it’s your journal to draw or write whatever you like.
There is no registration for the kits and they will be available in the children's room while supplies last, one per person please.
