Welcome the artist and their newest exhibition with an artist's reception!
About the Artist:
Michael Hubert is a visual artist and teacher who for the past three decades has had a studio and home in South Dartmouth, MA. Born and raised in Central Massachusetts, Michael graduated from Southeastern Massachusetts University in Dartmouth with a BFA in 1973 and a Masters in Art Education in 1980. Before retiring in 2020 Michael and his wife Christine operated their arts based independent school, the Dartmouth Early Learning Center, on Gulf Road in Dartmouth, MA for 42 years.
Michael brings a sophisticated approach to his paintings through a unique balance of color, composition and texture. In addition to the Art Drive, Michael’s studio is open by appointment. His work can be found within private collections around the country.
About the Exhibit:
Joseph Conrad wrote, "Meaning depends upon sharing, and communion with others and self-expression through the fine arts is truly what gives people meaning and spiritual nourishment in their lives."
Art can be a challenge. It can be both frustrating and rewarding at the same time, enjoyable when things click, other times not so much. The role of risk taking and failure play a significant part of the creative process, hopefully leading to a sense of accomplishment and a determination to do more. Hopefully, my art brings joy, it solves problems, and it presents the familiar with a fresh perspective.
