Special Events:

Wednesday, July 12 @ 10:30 AM: Big Ryan’s Toddler Show. Big Ryan's toddler programs focus on puppet play, music, and movement. Due to the unpredictability and short attention spans of very young children these programs usually run about 25 to 30 minutes. Come in and have some fun with Big Ryan! No registration.

Thursday, July 13 @ 10:30 AM:  First Responders Story Time. Join Tracy Ryan and her team of therapy dogs as they teach us what it means to be a First Responder Therapy Dog! She will read her book No Matter the Forecast, Our Paws are Ready: Therapy Dogs Helping First RespondersEnjoy a story and some time with a therapy dog team. First Responder Therapy Dogs leads the way in addressing the mental health needs of first responders by providing emotional support using therapy dogs.  Online registration required.

Saturday, July 15 @ 10 AM:  Family Yoga with Marybeth. Join us for a free family yoga class, presented by Marybeth of Maha Yoga. Family Yoga is a perfect way to get everyone together all while being an active participant! We recommend kids at 8 years old and/or older or kids that can follow directions along with their parents. Please bring your own yoga mat and dress in comfortable clothes. Please register EACH PERSON INDIVIDUALLY as spaces are limited for this program.  If you wish to attend multiple classes, please register for EACH CLASS.  Online registration opens on Saturday, July 1 @ 9 AM.

Tuesday, July 18 @ 10:30 AM:  Shark Story Time. Join Atlantic White Shark Conservancy for a shark themed story time.  Recommended for ages 5+.  Online registration required.

Tuesday, July 25 @ 1 PM:  Learn about Sharks. Presented by Atlantic White Shark Conservancy, this program will cover the basis of shark biology and local shark research and address some of the common misconceptions about sharks. This program is recommended for children ages 5+.  Online registration required.

Summer Reading:

Join the fun with our summer reading program “Find Your Voice”.  Program runs from Monday, June 26 thru Monday, August 14.  Registration opens online on Monday, June 12.  Open to all ages, track your reading online using Beanstack.  Log your reading minutes and earn badges and tickets.  Use the ticked to enter drawings for the chance to win prizes.

 Legos:

Fridays in July: Join us for Lego Free Build.  Come build with our Legos!  This program is drop in and parents will need to remain with their children and supervise.

Art and Craft programs:

Mondays in July @ 4-5 PM: Sketching with Shane.  Join Shane as he sketches using an iPad and mediums.  Teens and tweens (ages 12-18) are welcome to draw along with him in this informal session. No registration.

Tuesdays in July @ 4-5 PM: Creating with Jack.  Come join local artist, teacher and MassArt graduate Jack Phaneuf for a one hour weekly drawing session. Complimenting the more informal "Sketching with Shane" sessions held on Mondays, Jack will explore new topics weekly and guide students with their artwork. Students are required to bring a sketchbook, a #2 pencil and a black ballpoint pen.  For tweens and teens ages 12-18. THIS PROGRAM IS FILLED.  PLEASE WATCH FOR OUR WEBSITE FOR FUTURE PROGRAMS.

Thursday, July 20 @ 1 PM: Tie Dye.  Bring in a cotton item and join us in the back of the library to tie dye. Registration required for this program. All ages welcome. THIS PROGRAM IS FILLED.

 Triumph, INC.:

Fridays in July starting July 21 @ 10 AM:  Read & Draw Art Class.  Join Triumph for this fun class.  For kids ages 3-6, registration for this 5 week program is required.  To register, call Nancy at 508-822-5388 ext. 208 or email her at ntilbe@triumphinc.org.  Space is limited.

Wednesdays in July @ 4 PM:  Anime Club.  Teens are welcome to join us for a meeting of the Anime Club.  Watch anime on Crunchyroll, hang with friends and suggest books for the library to purchase. No registration.
