Merry Christmas Anne cover

Merry Christmas, Anne

It's Christmas in Avonlea, and Anne is thankful for so many things: feathery frosts and silvery seas, and wreaths as round as the moon. But most of all, she's thankful for her kindred spirits, including Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert, who adopted her, and her bosom friend Diana. But Anne is distracted this holiday by having to recite at the upcoming Christmas concert. And she feels bad that her kindred spirits give her so much during the year when she has very little to give in return. Can Anne overcome her jitters and make her kindred spirits proud -- and also think of a way to show her appreciation for the people she loves?

Can you believe it's here?
I know that Santa's coming soon

Grab and Go Craft:

reindeer

Beginning on Thursday, December 16, be sure to come by and pick up a Grab and Go Craft kit.  This month’s Grab and Go is a Reindeer Food Kit.  You don’t eat reindeer food.  Reindeer food (oatmeal with some sprinkles- we have done this in-house with glitter before, but are trying to save your house from the mess that glitter makes!) is sprinkled outside on Christmas Eve and helps lead Santa’s reindeer to your house!  We have a kit containing the ingredients to make the reindeer food and a cute reindeer craft.  One per child, while supplies last.

Jingle Update:

For those of you who follow our library elf Jingle on Facebook (you can see him at the library as well!) he is up to his normal antics again!  This year he helped us with letters to Santa and we believe Santa should be receiving those letters any day now.  For those who wrote letters and supplied a return address, watch your mailbox early next week!
