Special Events:

Wednesday, August 2 @ 10:30 AM: Big Ryan’s Toddler Show. Big Ryan's toddler programs focus on puppet play, music, and movement. Due to the unpredictability and short attention spans of very young children these programs usually run about 25 to 30 minutes. Come in and have some fun with Big Ryan! No registration.

 

Wednesday, August 2 @ 6 PM:  Diamond Terrapins and Box Turtles.  Join us to learn about New England Coastal Wildlife Alliance, who rescues and studies turtles, including the Northern Diamondback Terrapin and the Box Turtle. Crafts to follow. Recommended for school age children, all ages welcome. No registration required.  

 

Saturday, August 5 @ 10 AM:  Family Yoga with Maha Yoga. Join us for a free family yoga class, presented by Maha Yoga. Family Yoga is a perfect way to get everyone together all while being an active participant! We recommend kids at 8 years old and/or older or kids that can follow directions along with their parents. Please bring your own yoga mat and dress in comfortable clothes. Please register EACH PERSON INDIVIDUALLY as spaces are limited for this program.  If you wish to attend multiple classes, please register for EACH CLASS.  Online registration opens on Saturday, July 22 @ 9 AM.

 

Tuesday, August 8 @ 6 PM:  Capoeira.  Join us for this introduction to Capoeira as a culture and martial art with the Mass Capoeira Culture Center.  It's a multigenerational event that is perfect for families of all ages- it combines dance, acrobatics and music.  Online registration required.

Wednesday, August 9 @ 1-4 PM.  Interact with RobotsCome interact with some robots! Steve Norris has created many robots -- including robots that appeared in Transformers: Age of Extinction. Robots from the movie will be on display along with posters for the movie. Steve will be bringing additional robots that use computer vision to identify and follow people. These robots also have limited voice recognition, are able to speak, and can emote through various head and eye positions. The robots will be wandering around and you can interact with them as much as you wish. All ages are welcome for this event, no registration required.

 

Thursday, August 10 @ 1 PM: Candy Bar Bingo.  Join us for Candy Bar Bingo This program is for grades 1-6.  Registration required. This program is filled.

Thursday, August 31 @ 1 PM.  Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit tournament! At this tournament you'll drive a real-world Mario Kart™ through the library in our custom built course. This is an 8-person tournament but spectators are allowed. So if you don't snag a spot on the roster, you're welcome to view the competition and see what Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit is all about. The winner will go home with an awesome 3D printed trophy!  Register online starting August 17 @ 9 AM.  Best for ages 8-13.

Summer Reading:

Join the fun with our summer reading program “Find Your Voice”.  Program runs from Monday, June 26 thru Monday, August 14.  Registration opens online on Monday, June 12.  Open to all ages, track your reading online using Beanstack.  Log your reading minutes and earn badges and tickets.  Use the ticked to enter drawings for the chance to win prizes.

Triumph, INC.:
