Ancestry Library Edition
Family historians and genealogists can now come to the Bridgewater Public Library and have full access to Ancestry Library Edition records for their research!
Ancestry is the largest online family history resource, with over 20 billion records. Our new subscription includes records from the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, as well as major collections from France, Germany, Sweden, Italy, Australia, and China.
Records include:
- US census records (1790-1950)
- Canadian census records (1851-1911)
- Birth, marriage, and death records from the US, UK, and Canada
- Canadian Genealogy Index (1600s-1900s)
- Drouin Collection of French-Canadian and Quebec historical records (1621-1967)
- Immigration, emigration, passport, and naturalization records
- US and Canadian passenger lists (1865-1935)
- Some US military records
- Court, land, tax, and probate records
