On Tuesday, April 10th, Boston by Foot will be at the Bridgewater Public Library to present a slide/lecture entitled “The Four Shapes of Boston”, a 50 minute lecture. The program begins at 7:00 p.m.
The four shapes of Boston, which will be presented by an experienced Boston by Foot guide, traces the history of Boston’s topography and architecture from 1630 to the present.
Boston by Foot, Inc., a non-profit educational corporation, was founded by Polly Flansburgh in 1976 to promote public awareness of the city’s outstanding architectural heritage. To date, more than 220,000 residents and visitors from around the world have participated in Boston by foot tours. This free program is funded by the Friends of the Bridgewater Public Library. It will be held in the Flora T. Little Meeting Room on the lower level, which is accessible by elevator.
